Night Lights are a Los Angeles based indie pop/rock trio with members hailing from Mexico, Japan and Norway.
With their eclectic fusion of indie pop melodies, soul infused vocals and energetic rock’n’roll, the band have crafted a unique, dance-inducing sound, which is propelling them to the forefront of the Los Angeles music scene.
Formed of Mau Jimenez (Vocals), Yusuke Sato (Guitar) and Dag Eirik Hanken (Drums), the multicontinental band have used their diverse backgrounds to find a balance between profound lyrics, hooky melodies, intriguing harmonic progressions and danceability. Inspired by the likes of Mutemath, Two Door Cinema Club and Friendly Fires, the trio have crafted a fresh and infectiously catchy sound, which sits somewhere amidst the mix of their musical and cultural influences. Thematically, the band's music touches on the subject of existentialism and the confrontation of the self, hoping to discover a truth grounded in music, community, and conversation.
Night Lights saw success with their previous single ‘Childish’ being featured in both the Viral 50 Global and Viral 50 US Spotify charts, after being added to the platform's Fresh Finds playlist. They have also received acclaim from such publications as Indie Shuffle, NPR, LA Weekly, and BBC World News, to name a few. Now, Night Lights are ready to take the music industry by storm starting with the release of 'Talk to Me’, out September 28th via OneRPM.
